Third public testing phase
The argeBOT is the ARGEkultur’s digital mascot and, at the same time, it is a long-term media art, literature and education project. With regard to technology, the argeBOT uses software (the Python programming language), which can read texts and learn from them – this is also known as artificial intelligence. The BOT was first set up in the ARGEkultur foyer as one of the local installations of the SCIENCE MEETS FICTION festival (sciencemeetsfiction.org) in September 2019. The next public test run took place during the performances of SCHÄFERS ALL in January 2020.
In this third testing phase, you can help shape the identity of the argeBOT!
We need your creativity! We will draft the BOT’s responses together.
For example, how should the BOT react when it is asked about the weather?
What if someone tells it that it is a BOT?
And: Is it able to speak Czech, Turkish or ‘Salzburgerisch’ (Salzburg dialect)? Not yet!
